Hi all,

I have a RedHat6.0 system (kernel version 2.2.5-15) with a SupraExpress 336i
PnP Voice internal modem connected on COM3 under windows.
Rob Clarke's winmodem database (http://www.idir.net/~gromitkc/winmodem.html)
lists this as a "normal" modem (and not a winmodem). However, I cant detect
it under Linux. In fact, kppp detects a modem at /dev/ttyS0 where I have a
Logitech mouse :)
So, firstly, is it or isnt it a winmodem?

Secondly, I also took the following steps:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
[root@rish] ~# pnpdump > /etc/isapnp.conf

isapnp.conf file with some trial n error changes made...
# (DEBUG)

After all this, kppp still doesnt detect the modem. Nor does minicom (I
tried with the -s option, No response from the modem) ...
Am I doing anything wrong or do I still have to do anything more?
