i just got mandrake 8 installed on my i810-based
sustem. everything worked out of the box. the only
problem i'm facing is that i think mandrake was by
default set for a 21-inch monitor. as a result the
screen overlaps the size of my 14-inch monitor and the
displayed part isn't entirely shown.
i have a Hansol(Mazellan 401A) Monitor.
here'sa little info i gathred that might help u.
Monitor : Generic | High Frequency SVGA, 1022
x 768 @ 70Hz.
Resolution : 1024 x 768 @ 15bps
Graphic Memory : 16384 KB (i have 4MB of VDO
Ram)
XFree86Driver : i810
SFree86Server : SVGA
i tried reducing the resolution with Xconfigurator,
but nothing works. the only thing that happens is that
the GUI gets screwed up, and i have to reinstall.
