 Err... is this an upgrade from 7.0 by any chance?  I have not gone the 7.0
 .. 7.1 route, but I have heard that upgrading gcc loses the kgcc binary.

 At least, Mithun says so (and I have seen this in one or two places)

 Also there is something I remember from a /. post I read - basically some
 guy from redhat was saying that as gcc has been adapted successfully for use
 with redhat, kgcc has been trashed.

 However, I do see the kgcc rpm in Fisher (redhat 7.1 beta).  Doubt if
 Seawolf has it though.
