Good Linux to e'body,
Pl tell me :
I have certain doubts about mail-client programs.
Is it true that most( probably all except minicom ?) of the mail clients
have to use sendmail for sending mail & fetchmail for recieving ?
If so then why we have to configure each client's .conf file separately
for telling it about POP servers/smtp servers,username,passwords etc. If
the same info is configured in sendmail and fetchmail's .conf file, then
other dependent apps can retrieve it for the use.
At the most there can be saparate sections for diff. ISP setups, which can
be called by diff clients for their personal use.
Or am I totally wrong in my concept.
Pl. somebody clarify.
