U know as well as I do that its not as snappy as M$
Windoze (yet! :-) Check out Netscape on Win98 and then
on KDE...and i regret to say that the latter is quite
slow. However, kde has really managed to lot of
eye-candy, and all of it works like a dream! I've
written from a very realistic p-o-v since I have an
internet center in mumbai and I'm speaking from my
no-brainer customers who wouldn't want to touch linux
desktop with a barge pole, although they're beginning
to get curious about it ;-)
Sadly, until KDE can become a no-brainer its not good
enough. And just because you and me (and countless
others) think it has overtaked Windoze, there are
millon others who frown at it. BTW, have u seen the
latest Chip / Digit? It seems there aren't enough
followers of linux in India, so they've stopped
talking about it in their magazine!!!
