No, netscape is NOT part of KDE, and you're right!
However, neither is it part of Windoze! I'm not
comparing IE with Konqueror.
Look, I've given up half a decade ago on M$ making any
decent server os. However, to beat it on the desktop,
one will have to do something that is 'obvious' to
your (and my) grandmother when she looks at the
monitor. Remember, for people out there, Seeing
'Internet Explorer' written under an icon *means*
Internet. To change that mindset, its gonna take time.
I, for my part, have been educating people who come to
my internet center why linux is a better way to work
(see, i don't say OS). However, their response after
working for a few minutes is: err....can you give me
the other thing only...this is too complicated! And
believe me, i've got dual boot on most of my PCs here.
My server, of course, runs RedHat 6.2 for the past 2
years and more. No arguments there! Hope you get what
i'm trying to get across.
BTW, have you noticed (admit it) that handling tables
in MS Word is far easier than doing the same in
KOffice! I'm yet to get comfortable with the new
style. A good thing should be adopted (like tables
from Word) before it gets patented ;-) wot?
