Your answer heartened me, Shridhar. I hope I dont
sound too patronizing but one must be fair and
rational in comparisons. Since, I installed my first
Slackware Linux in 1996, I've never looked back. In
fact, even among linux, I've worked with all distros
(most!). So, no patronizning there, ok ;-)
I found ver. 2.2 of KDE very easy to setup and the
options it gives you to customize things is amazing.
I've been using KDevelop since its 1.4 avatar and I
feel its better than any Studio from you-know-who?
However, lets keep our minds open...for there's a less
priviledged lot out there which thinks to click on
'Start' to 'Shutdown' is coooooool :)
