Errr, there is nothing special about the username root, except for what
it symbolizes (tree root, filesystem root, user root....).
The important point is that any user with a uid of 0 is a superuser.
Your system never looks at the login name after login. It merely looks
at the uid. Many checks are overriden internally for uid 0.

Dunno, full superuser access to any user isn't a security hazard for
that machine any longer ;). That machine is 0wn3d d00d.
