i changed the /etc/passwd file and made a user "piyush" as 0:0

but now the prompt shows me as: [root@csflx201 piyush]# 

but i don't want this to be seen on the prompt.  i'd like the good 
old [piyush@csflx201 piyush]#

i'll settle for the # instead of the $.  but the root thing is 
just too obvious! ;-) 

so what's the work around for this guys?

You could give your user a uid of 0.
