friends,

Good Day. I am prasad from indore working at Centre
for Adv Technology. I am trying to use linux at my work place.

1) i have a 20gb + 4 Gb hard disks
2) i have reserved 10gb on 20gb disk and 1gb on 4gb disk for linux
( earlier when i had only 4gb i installed linux on this 1 gb partition)
3) i also have win ME on this PC
3) now when i make this 10 gb as root / i can not boot with LILO
4) now i installed essential things on 1gb partition. with this i am able to
boot into both linux and win ME
5) in the first attempt i opted for "graphical login". so every time
i start it switches to graphical mode only. unfortunately i had some
mouse
recognition problem. so i could not come to start up button and no way out
i could not access any other configuration tools so that i can change the
mouse
type and try
Q: is there way ( key, hot key and not mouse) to access the start
button
          or to lauch a program?
Q: is there a way out to switch to go out of graphical mode?( command
prompt)
pl remember the mouse is not working . so only the keyboard has
to be used.
6) now i reinstalled and opted for text login. here if encounter similar
problem i will
use ctrl+back space and go out of graphi mode. and do some
mouse reconfiguration

7) i want to add all other programs on the other part 10gb . how?

thanks for the attention.

regards
prasad
