yahoo has recently sent a message to subscribers, saying that
starting on 30th jan 2002, they will be using authenticated smtp for
people who use their pop/smtp service. they have also provided
directions for changing the settings in some popular windows-based
mail clients, like outlook express, eudora etc.
i looked for similar settings in kmail (1.3.1, comes with kde 2.2.1),
which is what i use, but couldn't find any. can anyone help me with
this? does kmail have this functionality at all? or should i try
something else? evolution 1.0 perhaps? but then there would be
problem of importing my mail from the kmail folders. people using
evolution 1.0, please tell me whether it has support for
authenticated smtp. otherwise i won't download it.
