Better would be to install lilo on the boot sector of your linux
partition and not on the MBR. Then use linux fdisk to set the linux
partition as active.
That way, machine will boot to linux partition from where it will start
lilo. Lilo can redirect to windows partition.
If lilo crashes, you only have to make your windows partition active
using dos fdisk from a floppy.
