Cool. If this works than I will surely say by by to copydisk(winblows
software), which I was using till now to make disk-to-disk copies of VCD's.

If this works under 2.4.x kernels than nothing like it. Shanu plase

To know the contents of a .deb file in systems without dpkg do
'$ar -x foo.deb' ... This  gives  a  file "data.tar.gz"  which 
contains the packaged files. Then to view the tarball with:
'$tar -ztvf data.tar.gz | less'
