yep, neither did i have the patience to learn the toc-file syntax :-)

better, perhaps, because nero suffers a platform handicap which
jeopardizes its stability  :-)
and cdrdao is definitely faster than nero.

no fear; i write cd-s either as root or with sudo, and the suid bit is
turned off. thanks for the info, though.
