Certainly DSL is far better option then cable. I am using Dishnet Connection at my different offices and found very good speed, However you should expect 80-90% uptime, Not more then that. There is no blocking of port 80, Even you can attached this line to your linux box, and use linux box as router for that you need a static IP and two lan cards in your machine. (S. K.
