Firstly, please check if your kernel has actually reco.. your s/c
check /proc/sound. If it exits, then your kernel has recognised it. If not
find why, m/w which kernel are you using ?
enable/disable pnp option in the bios/kernel and then try this has solved
most of my s/c under 2.4
