The gravity of the problem depends on whether you have over-
written your Linux partition(s) while re-installing Windows.
If any portion has been over-written, just too bad ... you
have to re-install.

If there has been no overwriting, you have two options to dual
boot:

a) Restore LILO on the MBR. This needs booting into your exist-
ing setup from the boot diskette which you may have created
during initial installation. Once you have booted, re-check
/etc/lilo.conf and do 'lilo -v' ... that's about it all! If
you are using alternate boot loaders like grub, you need to
do as per the bootloader's documentation.

b) Dual boot through Windows. If the Windows is Win-9x/ ME it
has to be a loadlin boot. For the NT family (viz. NT, 2k &
XP) go through boot.ini. There is a full document on both
   these at my homepage http://geocities.com/usmbish/hdi.html.
