Sorry, My mistake. Didn't read the mail properly...

Configure samba on your machine for DOMAIN level security. AFAIK, samba 
can be configured to send anything you want as your netbios name. Create 
a local user with the same username as that on the PDC (or try using
winbindd). That should cover 'logging on' to the domain.
