That shouldn't be a problem. Shift server to linux.. let everybody notice how much improvement is that and then push for some desktop app. That will buy you some time and linux desktop apps will mature more by that time.. (I'ts just that they will never stop maturing.. so at one point you have to deploy them in unmatured state..;-) You push linux desktop right now and will be faced with stiff resistance.. That's not the way linux penetrates windows..
