But I thought this was what you were suggesting by saying that RH did
something some way and the fact that SuSE did not do it the same way pissed

I'm afriad you are blathering.

Let us say I am installing some vital piece of software on a Windows XP box,
the InstallShield installer usually gives me the option to change the
directory where I install the software (default is typically \Program
Files\Some Crap).  There is NO guarantee that the same piece of software is
installed in the same directory on some other computer.  Even running the
same OS.

Ah.  The Afghan argument.  That is a new one.  I think Godwin's Law has
changed slightly these days.
