Just a small query, which is this file auto.mnt? Is it typical
for RH ? AFAIK, the "mount" command uses the following:

a) /etc/fstab ... file system table
b) /etc/mtab ... table of mounted file systems
c) /etc/mtab~ ... lock file
d) /etc/mtab.tmp ... temporary file

Enquiringly yours,

Bish

To view a compressed file (e.g. .tar.gz, zip, Z etc.) without
having to first uncompress it, use :
'zcat' or 'zless' ... e.g. zless Sound-HOWTO.txt.gz
