do you mean corrupts as in the file doesnt play ? or that the timing isnt
perfect so bits of the next piece comes in etc, you should be able to edit
out the extra stuff with sndedit or some other wav/ sound editor

this reminds me of my frantic search of the process which is playing the
cdrom. Didnt know then that you dont need to maintain a process to play
from the cd ;)
