Just a small request to all. Kindly adhere to some commonly
accepted norms of mailing for lists. This thread had the foll-
owing problems:

a) Inappropriate subject: The subject annotation of "Hi there"
has little to do with a query on samba. Postings to LIH are
archived for searches, and this kind of Subject line would
   defeat the purpose.

b) Word-wrap: The original mail was not word wrapped (probably
   from a M$ mailer).

c) Top-posting: The reply was top-posted. This is an accepted
norm popularised by things like OE where the cursor comes
to the top of the mail in hitting [Reply], but is generally
frowned upon. It poses difficulty in follow-ups, specially
if segment wise replies are posted on the original mail.

d) Non-exclusion of redundants: Exclude redundant stuff like
signatures and irrelavant portions of text. All portions of
relevance should be retained though ...

Just a request ...

Sub : Manipulating DOS floppies LOST #188

There is package called "mtools" just for this. Once installed
you can do manipulation of DOS floppies/ partitions using all
commonly used DOS syntax with prefix of "m" ... For example :
mcopy a:/test.txt /home/usr/. For directory listing: mdir a:;
or mformat a: to format a: as msdos floppy
