In this fix, i do.
Actually the computer mostly runs windows (my niece
palying games or something) so without rebooting the
comp into linux i want to share the cdrom drive so
that i could install without having to physically
switch drives. 


i noticed the smbfs in your reply is samba the panacea
to my woes?
