Google-ing for Radio Transmitters brought up two very interesting sites

I do not think you can have simpler stuff than this. The second site
also gives the softwares to control the data flow along with its source
code. The transmitter crystals are made in India by Andhra Crystals and
should be available fairly easily in the market.
