This mail is regarding implementing a optimized mail quota system.
Our mail users are stored in mysql database which contains information like user name, status and path to the home dir. With the help of a patch, qmail now gets necessary information from the database and delivers the mail to the users mailbox which of Maildir format.
We are using qmail-local as MDA.
The quota system should bounce all the incoming mails when the quota is full, but should allow mails from certain users.
Since the users home dir are mounted via NFS, OS based quota is not the right choice.
Even I don't want to use LDAP (suggested while googling) just for quota sake as we already have mysql overhead.
I hope many people in this list would have similar situation. Can someone please through light on this.
Thanks in advance, siva
