The patch which allows qmail to communicate with mysql also supports the quota.
But the problem is how do I tell qmail that if the sender is XXX , don't check the quota of the recepient??
patch qmail to look at another file.
Or an alternative would be if you use courier-imap - that is pretty good about enforcing quotasDo you mean IMAP client, If yes, then this would be of much help since the validation has to be done before delivering the mail.
Imagine if some is sending through some webmail client like hotmail.
courier does pop3 also
given that qmail accepts the whole mail before sending back a bounce (which is pretty stupid behavior ... rejects should happen right after rcpt to for things like user unknown ...) ... no matter if you try to deliver it, courier imap says no, and you boune it back again.
