Since the users home dir are mounted via NFS, OS based quota is not the right choice.
Even I don't want to use LDAP (suggested while googling) just for quota sake as we already have mysql overhead.
I hope many people in this list would have similar situation. Can someone please through light on this.
Why not store your quota in mysql as well?
You will have to patch qmail for this I guess ... that is the sort of stupidity that would make me recommend against using qmail at all ..
Or an alternative would be if you use courier-imap - that is pretty good about enforcing quotas
