Dear All,

I have Googled all day and now at 19:00 my eyes are googled. So please don't ask me to do it again.

I have my ISP mail box at mail.mydomain.com. Have setup local domain at lan.mydomain.com with DNS and all the stuff.
RHL 8.0; sendmail-8.12.8-5.80
fetchmail is running fine.
sendmail for local mail is working. for outgoing mail it works if set to submit directly [masq as mydomain.com]. But if I try to relay it through mail.mydomain.com it says as below:

Nov 4 20:48:47 stmail1 sendmail[5827]: alias database /etc/aliases rebuilt by root
Nov 4 20:48:47 stmail1 sendmail[5827]: /etc/aliases: 67 aliases, longest 29 bytes, 748 bytes total

[EMAIL PROTECTED] mail]# Nov 4 20:48:49 stmail1 sendmail[5842]: hA3F5dYq003410: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, ctladdr=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (501/500), delay=1+00:13:09, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=relay, pri=6150521, relay=mail.sunrisecal.com. [66.150.206.161], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection reset by mail.sunrisecal.com.

My ISP is not much of a help and I am getting anywhere. Seems I need to setup sendmail to authenticate with the ISP. Any ideas?

Regards

Amitava
