Dear Hserus,
Thanks for the page but the problem is still not solved.
After another day of Googling and RTFM and some hair loss this is the
status:
1. Tried OE and MSOutlook but both gives the same error [0x800ccc0f] while
sending mail. The possible causes given by MS does not apply.
2. Redone sendmail.mc but same results. My previous config was not much
different.
3. telnet mail.domain.com 25 gives -
Trying xx.xx.xx.xx
Connected to mail.domain.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
4. telnet mail.domain.com 110 is ok.
5. OE worked from a Win2K machine on the same lan but with a public IP and
default gateway set to WAN IP of our router.
6. telnet mail.domain.com 25 is possible from another location with a ISDN
line.
Anybody interested in seeing it first hand is welcome.
Thanks & regards
Amitava

Was done already. Thanks
delay in sending this mail because twice it was rejected. So had to change
the mail id and now hope it works.
