Hmm, not sure what Mandrake uses to config pppoe. I've only used Roaring
Penguin's pppoe config script which creates a ppp0 config file that uses
the eth0 interface. Anyway, ask your friend to goto this link for a
detailed rp-pppoe setup script. AFAIK, this script explicitly asks you
whether you want to use the server/DHCP assigned DNS, or any other
explicitly defined DNS, like a DNS on your own machine, etc.
