Open source more than free software has been
accepted at Banking and Financial Institutions across
the country more so lately. Ofcourse making use of
Open Source and Gnu/Linux as a platform is still for
purposes of Running their Legacy Systems/apps on
it....like MF Cobol on Gnu/Linux or DB2/Oracle 9i Apps
on Gnu/Linux.
BFSI is a sector with a lot of $$$ to spend. Moreso,
one doesn't need to sell them Gnu/Linux...the
circumstances has already done that.
