Indeed with respect to the stability of the
Operating System as a platform for deploying Scalable
Enterprise Web Applications *BSD has done the job more
than well and no reason for Yahoo to migrate any time
soon.
Probably if the bsd devel team had adopted a more
open development model more number of commercial
Enterprise applications would have been BSD based then
Gnu/Linux. Just an after thought!!!.
The growth of Open Source deployments in the
Enterprise with need for more professionals posessing
those skills has made the future promising and the
fact that it is driven by open standards deliveres the
punch few else can.
