Again, AFAIK, BSD was stable enough long back when linux was not that much stable to do the job. So they went to BSD.. Must be around 1997..


and over time BSD certainly didn't got any worse.. so they don't have any reason to choose..

I am sure for newer deployments yahoo might be considering linux but existing BSD setup wouldn't be going anywhere..

Just a thought thogh.. no proof to back it up..
