Hello Everybody, I am using RH 7.1 and US Robotics 33.6 Fax Modem to try and connect to the BSNL internet service.
When I use wvdial, the modem is detected properly and it is dialing. After that I get a message that it is trying to connect to the ppp server and after some time I get ppp time out and wvdial goes for redial. When I use kppp then dialing is ok. After connection I get an error message that the system is unable to create the device /dev/ppp0 and then the connection aborts. Any pointer please. I have tried with the same modem with windows and the connection is going through without any hassles. What I am missing? If the details that I am giving here is not sufficient, please tell me what details should I provide.
