is ppp installed in Linux ? check with which pppd. BSNL may have specific chat script. you can check it up in windows with 'bring up terminal window after dialing' in your advanced dialing option. this will clearly show you the expect strings for local ppp instance to start up. -hizibiz > Any pointer please.
