Hello everybody,

I thank all how tried to help me. I am trying to respond to the queries that
they raised. My server is running ppp. The command rpm-qa | grep -I ppp
returns

Ppp-2.4.0-2
Kdenetwork-ppp-2.1.1-1
Rp-ppp02-2.6-5
Kpppload-1.04-23

I don't have the package pppconfig. My search for the rpm produced no
results so far. But I am still trying to get it. In the meantime I
configured the kppp to use PAP and still the problem is there. I am getting
the following error after the modem gets connected (CD LED on)

Conuldn't find interface ppp0: no such device
Terminating on signal 15
Timeout expired while waiting for ppp interface to come up

Any clue please.

With regards,

Goutam
