My /etc/wvdial.conf file is as follows : [Dialer Defaults] Modem = /dev/modem Baud = 9600 Init1 = ATZ Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0 ISDN = 0 Modem Type = Analog Modem Stupid Mode = 1
Does BSNL have script or PAP/CHAP based login? Do you use a script file for logging in from windows? Can you try connecting manually using minicom? See if you get any output from the other end after getting the CONNECT string.
Unless, the login is PAP/CHAP I dont think you should be using the Stupid Mode of wvdial.
