Hi,
We have colocated our server in US.
We run qmail-ldap. We are not an ISP, so we can't
invest too much. Daily the queue goes above 15000,
although our total strength is just 800-900.
When I gave tcpdump and netstat, I could see lot of
remote IPs conecting to our port 25. I could read the
messages in queue with qmHandle and found that these
are all junk and filthy mails. But its neverending to
blacklist each and every spammers manually.
We have configured qmail-ldap with amavisd-ng +
spamassassin + AV.
Should I switch to postfix or sendmail ? Will that
help me ? On searching google for "rate limiting
qmail", I didn't find much help. I think rate limiting
is much more efficient. I am sure that all patches has
been made for qmail. Now I feel Qmail "SUCKS !!!"
Could anyone suggest some hints.
Regards,
Anand
