First of all I thank list members for extending me help to move from RH to
Debian. Now I feel confident that I will be able to use Debian.

I used "aptitute" to install "all" packages, but I found I could not
install everything, so install a few require using "apt-get install". With
experience, may be able under understand all options slowly ;-)

The problem I am finding is that, when I come next day (leaving machine
on), this IBM PC with Debian perform very very slow. From remote machine
ssh take more time. Most of commands take long time. "top" does not show
any process using excessive resources.

Reboot took about 25 minutes. This I obserevd twice. After this reboot if
I again reboot, it take resonable time of 1 or 2 minutes.

I also found that "uptime" gave different time, on issuing one after that.
The sample is as:

 09:07:18 up 2:01, 1 user, load average: 0.81, 0.48, 0.18
 10:18:51 up 3:12, 1 user, load average: 0.81, 0.48, 0.18
 09:07:17 up 2:01, 1 user, load average: 0.81, 0.48, 0.18

What can be wrong. From where I can control "services" to be started at
boot time. Like "setup -> services" in RH :-(
