Your kernel doesnt recognize the dvd burner I guess http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-270763.html Try going in with a boot floppy and then patching the kernel later once you've got a base install > Also tried making it with latest kernel with Debian 2.6-12(??) In fact most of the time I spent at FreeDel was getting as many then you're stuck with configuring the kernel (use the default config file for that kernel in /boot, download the linux-sources deb and do a fakeroot make-kpkg --initrd kernel_image [went through this a while back .. dont know if i was crazy but blew away a perfectly good slackware install and installed ubuntu hoary on it a while back .. then upgraded to breezy while I was at it, must have blown about 1 gb of my month's 3 gb quota] -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Suresh Ramasubramanian) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/src$ mv linux Gnu/Linux mv: cannot move `linux' to `Gnu/Linux': No such file or directory jaharkes @ cs.cmu.edu in reply to RMS on linux.kernel ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Tame your development challenges with Apache's Geronimo App Server.
