>IBMs are good (R51/52 are sturdy enough), Fujitsu are cute :), Dell >Latitudes are pricey but run smooth, HP/Compaq are reliable, Acer ships >preloaded... Last night I ordered IBM R50e. I did a lot of study and in the UK can't find a linux preloaded laptop. The Best report for Linux was for Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M1425, almost everything worked out of box without requiring special configurations. But that was very expensive for me (around £1100). In general by looking at tuxmobil.org, I found that IBM's are pretty comfortable in linux. The best reports are for IBM T42p but again cost was around £1300 for me. So I decided to stick with IBM R50e (around £750 including VAT and delivery). Suresh you are an old slackware user, I just got my Slackware 10.1 slack pack. I was planning to try my hands on slack again. Any feedback on slack laptop support, ACPI, Wireless.
