Hi!

This is indeed the same problem i have. it seems that my provider
does not answer the CONFREQ or initial PPP setup section off the
ppp interface. It seems that the CONFREQ is not being send or does not
work at the telephone and therefor also not at the ISP. Maybe this
should be tested. If the irda port really sends these commands to
the telephone. Or at least comes out of the physical interface! If
i use commands from the uucp package it works great to setup a remote
session but ppp or slip connections are not possible yet.

Maybe someone knows how the ppp software works and know how the irda
is functioning. He will know probably where to start with this problem.
