It sounds to me like you're asking the screen to do a
horizontal frequency it's not up to, for starters. then you'll see
what's going on from there.

As a piece of general advice, don't use expert mode unless you're an
expert ;-). The only other thing you'll need to alter is the dac or
dot clock - It should be up at least to 40,000 x 800 x 1.3 or
41.6 Mhz. Let the system probe it, try a couple of X servers and let me
know.
