Can you change batteries while on the move?  I can with my ThinkPad - I
just hibernate the machine then remove the drained battery, insert a new
one and switch on again.  It's very hard for one's machine to draw current
when there is no battery installed.  :-)

Ditto with mine, minus the modem (none built in - I have a PCMCIA one
instead), and since it's a 1997 model the screen is only 800x600 @16bpp
but it generally suffices.
