This is the same as mine (though a little smaller as I only have 64MB) on a
Quantex I1410.  Making it by hand might be tricky though since mine seems to be
64MB system ram + 8MB video ram + ~2.5MB for no exact reason.  You might check
your driver CD, on mine their was an unlisted DOS program called something like
"S2D.exe" that automatically creates a suspend file or partition depending on if
you give it a "/create /file" or "/create /partition" option respectively.

PS.  Off topic - UofA eh?  Just wondering, how much of a Linux presence/user
group is there?  I'm planning to transfer over next year from Pima as an EE and
was just wondering.  Thanks

on my AST and Sony, the hibernate partition is returned as type 'a0':

on the sony, fdisk of /dev/hda (RH6.1) returns:

   device     start  end       Blocks   Id   System
/dev/hda4     821    838       136080   a0   IBM Thinkpad hibernation
