Unfortunately the Linux drivers cost almost $200. They are available from
a 3rd party vendor which wrote them, Helios, and reportedly work very
well. Due to the cost I never made use of them.

I didn't build my PC because it was easy. I have my PC because it is a
tool for me. I tech Win95/NT for a living, and every day I get more and
more fed-up with MS operating systems. They are unstable, extremely
vague in error reporting, and a mess overall.

I'm assuming that you already have Linux (RH or some distrib)
already on your first partition. Now, if thats true, the way to access the
D: and E: drives are to use the '-t vfat' option in the mount util.

        ie: mount -t vfat /dev/hdx /mountpoint

As for your partitions, it depends, but most likely your D: is
/dev/hda2 in linux, and E: is /dev/hda3, etc .. etc .. use a disk utility
to make sure and check which each one is.

        Good Luck and Happy Linux'ing

There are 2 other CD. The first one is hte source-code for the program.
So, we will see the file like *.srpm . The other one is the application cd.
It is some trial-ware or shareware for Linux. Like Word-perferc 7 for Linux.
You will have 15 days to try the WP. Check out yourself.
Remember mount the cdrom before you read the content of the cdrom.

Those are the kernel modules for the AppleTalk and IPX network
protocols, respectively. Find /etc/conf.modules (might be called
"modules.conf" in some distributions), and add

       alias net-pf-4 off #Forget IPX
       alias net-pf-5 off #Forget AppleTalk

Next reboot, the system won't complain that those (unneeded)
kernel modules are missing.

Even if you could get it running, which I doubt because you are using the
VGA16 server, it would run extremely slowly, almost constantly using the swap
partition. On my AMD K6-2/350, with 96M ram, it takes about half a minute to
