And do what I've done and write a little script that does this all in one

I have PII 450, 128MB, TNT2, 32MB, RH7.1 and oms-0.1.2. The video
performance is really poor, 8fps. I installed the latest driver for my
TNT2. DMA is on. XMRR is enabled. But still get 8fps. Can you tell me how
did you setup oms? What's the content of your ~/.oms/config?
Thanks!

I am going to get cable access and I would like to distribute it all round
my home network with an old P100.
However, I don't wish to use the Linux Router Project for this sort of thing
because it would also like to run a web server etc on it. Can anyone point
me in the right direction?
I had thought ipchains was the thing to use, but having a look at
www.ipchains.net revealed that it isn't the extensive resource I had
imagined hearing it discussed...

Agreed. Also, some news systems will abort your reply post (AFTER you go
to the trouble of composing it) when groups not locally available happen
to be added to the groups originally addressed. It's maddening to see it
happen for a pet localized group added, without notice given prominently
in the body of the message, so the rest of us can manually restore valid
group distribution to replies.
And I realize systems probably should do this optionally for us, but the
fact is, many (most?) of them don't, for whatever reason.

Being a curious guy -- you can try this -- boot into single
user mode first.
>From there you may or may not need to mount some file systems,
it depends on your setup.
Since you're root start one of the getty's manually, say
something like ...
/sbin/agetty 9600 tty2
... but don't use tty1. If you don't get a login prompt
on the second, virtual console you can interrupt it and
perhaps use strace to see where it's going wrong.
Oh and of course if your machine is connected so some
network you had better pull the plug, just in case
you're dealing with a security problem here.

Subject: Problems with Netscape 4.51 and 6
Hello,
I am running RedHat 6.0 (kernel 2.2.5-15) on a cyrix 6x86 machine.
I have some Problems with Netscape:
Netscape 4.51 crashes suddenly stating "Bus Error" for no obvious
reason.
What can I do?
Netscape 6 says when loading a java-applet that it cannot find the
plugin for mime-type application/x-java-vm and offers a choice to
download that.
With installing netscape, that plugin was installed, too.
Although I have downloaded and installed the java-plugin a second time,
it still does not work?
Can anyone offer me some help?
Thank you

Here you go, a nice simple inexpensive way to do it. You can use a 486/33
box or better with 16MB for install and only 8MB after install.
