Then obviously you are (or your machine is) using 2 different versions of
"vmlinuz".
I do not use loadlin, but possably loadlin is looking into the root dir "/"
and finding "/vmlinuz" and using it, your boot floppy was copied from /boot
as i remember.
I dont use loadlin so there could be another explanation.
