According to the LILO docs, Lilo stopping after LI
is usually caused by a disk geometry mismatch.

I had this problem when using a disk >540Mb on a
system with a Pre-LBA BIOS.

It's odd that Lilo HAD been working, and just
suddenly crapped-out.

disi you recently add a new harddisk? Check your
BIOS settings for the harddisks, to make sure they
are what they should be.

Failing that, I would suggest using a
boot/rescue disk, if you have one, and re-running
LILO. If you don't have a boot/rescue disk, you will
need to make one from your Linux-distribution CD,
or download a boot image and rawrite it to a disk.

Hope this helps,
